About the Image:

In 1995 while living in Fairbanks, Alaska, my photographic image of 5 edible wild berries made with a 4×5 inch view camera was selected for the annual KUAC (public radio and TV station) commemorative and fund raising poster.  I was the first photographer whose image was used for the poster series and this was a tremendous honor.  This series in 2012 was 25 years old and I was #12.  All artists before me were well-known painters from around Alaska.

The wild berries depicted include blueberries, high-bush cranberries, raspberries, crow berries and lingonberries sometimes called low-bush cranberries.  The raspberries and high-bush cranberries were from our yard and the other three were all together within 3 miles of our home.
