I made this image in my modest studio with a Canon 5D II camera and Canon 100mm Macro lens.  I’ve had this vise grip for well over 35 years and used it extensively on several jobs I had before full-time photography.  This image was selected as one of four photographs in a juried comprehensive art show with entries submitted from Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Michigan, and Ontario.  Thes juried exhibition presented at the Duluth Art Institute’s “Depot” location has existed in some form or another for 100 years and is known as the Arrowhead Biennial Exhibition.
