Venezia, the Italian spelling for what we know as Venice, is a very compact and wonderful city, the center of which you navigate either on foot or by one kind of boat or another.  I don’t recall seeing a motor vehicle.  Walking out of the train station to catch a ride to your hotel, you don’t catch a bus or hail a cab, you take a “water taxi.”  This image of one of the branch canals off the main canal was made from a little foot bridge with a Leica M6 camera and Leica 21mm ASPH lens on Ilford black and white film.
