This image of Mount McKinley was made about 9:00 AM in late July in Denali National Park about two miles west of the Eleison Visitor’s Center. Many viewers have initially thought that this photograph was an oil painting because of the delicate softness of the colors. However, upon closer inspection, they are surprised at the razor-sharp details in this photograph which is virtually never achievable in a painting.
